Ryan Mitchell knows that school meals for all can help students realize their potential. He is able to see how important school meals are to his second graders in Henderson County schools and believes all students in North Carolina should get the nourishment they need to succeed.
Ryan is a second-grade teacher at Mills River Elementary School and the 2022 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Western Region Teacher of the Year.
