We believe meaningful change happens when those most connected to the work help shape and advance it. This working group is a great fit for individuals passionate about community advocacy who want to stay informed, build skills, and contribute to collective impact.
We invite anyone who supports SMFANC to join our monthly Community Advocacy meetings. This includes representatives from organizations, individuals interested in becoming Champions, and committed Champions. During these meetings, we provide campaign updates so supporters feel connected. Attendance is not mandatory for Champions, but is highly encouraged to familiarize with coalition messaging and take advantage of various trainings, workshops, and peer support.
