The Center for Black Health & Equity and The Western NC Conference Second Episcopal District A.M.E Church present a SMFA NC Town Hall!
THIS TOWN HALL IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, PLEASE REGISTER.
One in six children in North Carolina experiences hunger on a daily basis. In our most rural counties, as many as one in three children experience hunger. Providing no-cost school meals to all students in North Carolina public schools will ensure every child has access to healthy, nutritious breakfast and lunch; promote student academic achievement; and eliminate meal debt and “lunch shaming.” You are invited to amplify your voice to end child hunger in North Carolina.
At this town hall, you will be reminded of your power to make a difference and offer solutions that bring School Meals for All NC to life. We hope our Tea Talk theme encourages attendees to continue this discussion at home, in church, in social gatherings, and throughout the community. Join us as we toast with tea to end the immense food insecurity in rural and urban North Carolina.
The Reverend Dr. Conrad K. Pridgen, Presiding Elder
