Our Commitment
School Meals for All NC is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to information about school meals should be available to all members of our community, and we are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website.
Current Status: Phase 1 Remediation Complete
In July 2026, School Meals for All NC partnered with Embrace Access to conduct a professional accessibility audit and remediation of our website. Phase 1 of this work is now complete and included the following pages:

- Join the Coalition page
- Blog
- Site navigation
These pages have been remediated to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Additional phases of accessibility work are planned as we continue improving the rest of our website.
How We Tested
Remediated pages were evaluated by Embrace Access using a combination of automated testing, manual expert review, and usability testing by people who use assistive technology in their daily lives.
Testing included the following screen readers and browsers:
